Country music legend given more life

The documentary about Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis originally premiered on Circle Network as a concert special in 2011 to honour the 25th anniversary of Travis’ album Storms of Life. After a near-fatal illness, the special moved beyond just a concert film to the telling of the story of the artist’s life and recovery.

It started with 1,500 people who were mostly strangers, now each year 20,000 of them come together as a community in Las Vegas, Nevada, to hand jive, lindy hop, twist and stroll, dress in decades old vintage fashion, sit poolside at the tiki bar in pin-up style bathing suits à la Jane Russell, Bettie Paige, Eartha Kitt or Jayne Mansfield.

It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
